My Art

My work explores emotion, tension, and presence through layered mixed-media painting.

Working across acrylic, watercolor, spray paint, pastels, and collage, I build surfaces through accumulation - marks, fragments, texture, color, and gesture - until something essential emerges.

I’m drawn to what is felt but not easily articulated: strength, vulnerability, restraint, intensity, memory, and emotional residue.

The work is more about presence than narrative - what remains when explanation falls away and only feeling is left.

My Life

I was born and raised in rural Northern California, where I first fell in love with drawing people at six years old. Art has been a constant companion ever since - a way to process emotion, make sense of life, and connect more deeply to humanity.

After earning my degree in Sociology in 2007, I spent the next fourteen years working in the tech industry, helping companies find and hire remarkable people. It was meaningful work, but over time, I felt the quiet pull back to something more personal.

In 2022, my family of four made a significant shift - we sold everything we owned, packed eight duffel bags, and moved from the Pacific Northwest to Lisbon, Portugal.

Now, in this chapter of my life, I’m returning to art with intention. I’m learning to create the way I did as a child - freely, intuitively, and without fear of judgment. With my whole heart.
