Obsidian refuses to be ignored. I wanted to create a piece that felt solid, structural. The blacks are cool-toned and as deep as the ocean. The texture created by applying thick paint with a palette knife creates a tapestry of peaks and valleys that you can get lost in. And a subtle blood-red lip adds a touch of dangerous femininity.
